Hildebrand buys into Kronseder

The Hildebrand Brunner Group buys 50% of the German vacuum kiln supplier Kronseder Trockentechnik. Hildebrand Brunner is one of the biggest suppliers for conventional timber dry kilns and vacuum kilns world wide. Kronseder Trockentechnik is concentrated on smaller vacuum kilns with heat pump technology so now boiler is necesary anymore to run the kiln. In addition to that Kronseder has developed a technology to change the color of hardwood timber by smoking the lumber with ammonia. This technology changes the color of the lumber without changing the lumber itselfe.

Brunner Hildebrand and Kronseder are very excited about the new possibilities arising with that partnership.

Brunner Hildebrand merges with SECEA

The merger of the Italian lumber dry kiln manufacturer, SECEA, with the German kiln manufacturer, HILDEBRAND-BRUNNER, was finalized in May 2009. With over 20 years of worldwide experience of producing lumber dry kilns, specialized kilns, biomass boilers, and dust collection systems, the Italian brand, SECEA, will complement the HILDEBRAND-BRUNNER group. Secea BedienpanelThe decision to merge was based on this complement to provide one combined force. The market position will be strengthened through the resulting synergies, and the company will be far more flexible to answer the high demands of our global customers. In recent years HILDEBRAND-BRUNNER has concentrated on manufacturing customer specific kilns, vacuum kilns and energy saving systems, while SECEA focused on the classical and conventional kilns. Joining forces will no only inspire development of even more innovative concepts and products for the lumber drying industry, but will also provide environmentally friendly energy supply, as well as low energy consuming systems which will produce large energy savings. The worldwide service grid will be much stronger due to combined use of employees, facilities, and partner companies. It will contribute to a more efficient service with a faster and more economical response. Sales staff experts will be able to have more time available to assist customers in special needs situations. The headquarters for the manufacturing and service will remain in Gehrden (Hannover), Germany. A manufacturing facility in Romania, equipped with the most modern manufacturing machinery, has been added. The manufacturing plant will be using completely automatic coil machines to produce aluminum wall kiln profiles, machines for production of bi-metal heat exchangers, and a heavy manufacturing line for aluminum profiles to manufacture all required length and shapes from heavy aluminum coils. The possibility of having the best manufacturing equipment to produce heat exchanger plates and aluminum profiles will decrease our dependence on suppliers, which will in turn benefit our customers by automatically shortening our delivery times.
